A Dhaka court on Monday imposed a travel ban on S Alam Group owner Mohammed Saiful Alam, his wife Farjana Pervin and 11 other members of their family.
Metropolitan Sessions Judge Mohammad Ash Shams Zaglul Hossain passed the order, allowing a plea of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
Saiful Alam's family members, who were barred to travel abroad, are- his sons -- Ashraful Alam and Ahsanul Alam, brothers -- Morshedul Alam, Sahidul Alam, Rashedul Alam, Abdus Samad, Osman Gani and Mohammad Abdullah Hasan, sister-in-law -- Shahana Ferdous, Ferjana Begum and one Mishkat Ahmed, BSS reported.
Investigation officer Md Nur-e-Alam filed the petition, pleading to impose a travel ban on Saiful Alam and his family members.
ACC public prosecutor Mir Ahmed Ali Salam moved the plea before the court.
Amir Hossain, court inspector of the anti-graft body, confirmed the matter.
