Bashundhara Shuvosangho has observed World Children's Day with a series of events in Natore, aimed at supporting underprivileged children.
On Monday morning, the district unit of Shuvosangho organised sports and drawing competitions for the students of ‘Swapnakoli School,’ a learning centre for disadvantaged children in the Sadar upazila’s Station Slum area.
The children participated in different activities, including drawing and ball-throwing games. Winners were awarded prizes, while every child received chocolates and balloons.
Addressing the occasion, Shuvosangho’s Natore district unit President Md Mostafizur Rahman said, "We always prioritise organising events for underprivileged children. It brings us great joy to celebrate World Children's Day with them, and we hope to continue such initiatives in the future."
Bashundhara Shuvosangho’s district unit General Secretary Sushmoy Das, office bearers– Aslam Ali Sardar, Rasheda Khatun, Shishir Kumar Das, Barsha Khatun, Fatema Khatun, Arbi Khatun, Sanzila Rahman Totini and Muhsanin Islam Mohan, among other, were present at the programme.
Notably, the country celebrates World Children's Day every year on the first Monday of October.
