Former PMO Principal Secretary Nojibur arrested: DB

The Detective Branch (DB) of DMP has arrested Nojibur Rahman, former Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister and former chairman of the National Board of Revenue (NBR), reports Daily Sun.

DB Additional Commissioner Rezaul Karim Mallick confirmed the matter to the media on Sunday night.

However, he could not say the charges on which Nojibur was arrested.

Earlier on Saturday, the police detectives arrested Abul Kalam Azad, another former Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Member of Parliament, in Dhaka’s Dhanmondi.

Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury, a former advisor to Hasina and former principal secretary, was also arrested on 1 October.

Several other former secretaries have been arrested over the past few days.
