At least four people were killed and 10 others injured when a passenger bus collided head on with a truck at Kalihati link road on Dhaka-Tangail highway in the early hours on Friday, reports BSS.
The accident occurred at around 1:00 am, but the identity of the victims was not confirmed immediately, police sources said. The injured were admitted to Tangail General Hospital for treatment.
A Mymensigh bound bus left from the capital reached at Mymensingh link road on Dhaka-Tangail highway collided with a truck left from Kalihati leaving four people dead on the spot, said Mohammad Nannu Khan, In-Charge of Alenga highway police outpost.
The incident along with incessant rain caused a gridlock within 10 kilometers on Dhaka-Tangail highway.
