Law adviser Dr. Asif Nazrul has assured the civil society that the cyber security law will be repealed.
He said this at a discussion meeting on cyber security law organized at the Judicial Training Institute in the capital on Thursday.
The legal adviser said, "Cyber security law will be repealed. Also new laws will be made to provide cyber security. It will work especially in protecting women.”
In the same event, the Ministry of Post, Telecommunication and Information Technology and Advisor to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Nahid Islam said, “Cyber security law will remain as a place of distrust for people. Hence amendment of the law or new naming cannot be supported. The law must be changed. But in the interim between changes or revisions, decisions must be made as to whether or not to suspend it so that not a single case is filed under this law.”
