Palestine Ambassador to Bangladesh Yousef S.Y. Ramadan on Tuesday expressed deep gratitude for Bangladesh’s longstanding support to his country in the international platforms and sought for continued support in future, reports BSS.
He sought the support when he called on Foreign Affairs Adviser Md. Touhid Hossain at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the meeting, Palestinian envoy briefed the foreign adviser on the on-going genocide in Gaza and West Bank especially killing innocent women and children.
He also focused on the growing concerns and escalation of tensions in the Middle East, resulting to widespread instability in the region and beyond.
The conversation also touched on the challenges faced by Palestinian students who have been unable to take advantage of scholarships offered by universities of Bangladesh due to the ongoing blockade in Gaza.
