Six members of a family including two women have burnt to death in a fire that broke out at an Ashrayan Project house in Sunamganj’s Dharmapasha upazila on Monday night.
The incident occurred late at night at the government-run Ashrayan Project in the Shim area of Jayashree Union in the Upazila.
The victims were identified as Emarul, 50, his wife Pori Aktar, and their four children: Polash, Farhad, Fatema Begum, and Omar Faruk.
Dharmapasha Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Enamul Haque confirmed the incident.
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
