"Three people with gunshot wounds were brought to our hospital around 1pm, one of whom was already dead," Yusuf Ali, duty manager at Enam Medical College Hospital in Savar said.
“More two were brought later on, both workers were part of Natural Indigo factory.”

The workers said that a tripartite meeting was going on in the morning with the representatives of the Mandal Group workers, the owners and the law enforcement agencies. As there was no agreement, the workers took a position outside the factory. Later workers from other factories started gathering there.
Meanwhile, the law and order forces and the workers stood face to face. The members of the law and order forces started lathicharge. The workers vandalized some RAB and police vehicles.
Later, when the workers became more agitated, the police opened fire to bring the situation under control. When 5 workers were shot, they were rescued and admitted to the local PMK Hospital and Enam Medical College Hospital in Savar.
