Saida Muna Tasneem, High Commissioner of Bangladesh to UK, is being brought back to Dhaka. She has performed her duty for almost 6 years there.
The professional diplomat was transferred to Dhaka as part of the reshuffle in the administration after the interim government took over.
In an official order signed by the Director General (Administration) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Nazmul Haque on Sunday, Saida Muna Tasneem has been asked to leave London and return to Dhaka immediately.
BCS (Foreign Cadre) 11th batch officer Saida Muna Tasneem is scheduled to go on post-retirement leave on December 26. Normally a diplomat serves as an ambassador for three years. However, he has been serving as the High Commissioner in London since November 30, 2018, as he is a trusted confidant of the Awami League government. The BNP-supporting diaspora had been complaining for a long time that the diplomat had made the Bangladesh High Commission in London the party office of Awami League.
