Bangladesh experienced heavy to very rainfall due to the impact of active monsoon while the Met office predicted the intensity of rain is likely to decrease from tomorrow (Friday).
"Almost the entire Bangladesh witnessed heavy rainfall in the past two days as monsoon has remained active over the country," Md Abdur Rahman Khan, a meteorologist of Bangladesh Meteorologist Department, told state news agency BSS on Thursday.
The Met office recorded 43 mm rainfall at Dhaka city between 6:00 pm and 12:00 pm while the capital received 44 mm rainfall between 6:00 am (September 25) and 6:00 am (September 26).
According to the latest weather bulletin, the highest 104 mm rainfalls were recorded at Kumarkhali, 101mm at Rajshahi, 93 at Aricha, 90mm at Bagabari, 64mm at Faridpur, 87 at Ishurdi, 82 mm at Hatita and 77mm at Jashore.
