A murder case has been filed over the death of Md. Abdur Rahim, a former Deputy Assistant Director (DAD) of the Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) and a veteran freedom fighter, who died in prison.
Abdur Rahim was an accused in the case related to the 2009 mutiny at the BDR headquarters in Pilkhana.
Advocate Abdul Aziz, son of Abdur Rahim, filed the case on Sunday with the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md. Akhtaruzzaman, Daily Sun reports.
The case has been filed against 11 individuals, including former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, former Director General of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and former Army Chief General Aziz Ahmed, and Mosharraf Hossain Kajol, and the lawyer for the Pilkhana mutiny case.
The matter of the case was confirmed by the plaintiff's lawyer Md. Delwar Hossain.
