A 12-member delegation of students has submitted at Bangabhaban a memorandum containing their one-point demand seeking quota reform in government jobs, reports Daily Sun.
The delegation entered the president's official residence at around 2:30 pm on Sunday, said a delegation member.
The delegation includes- Sarzis Alam, Asif Mahmud, Nahid Islam, Hasib Al Islam, Rifat Rashid, Hannan Masud, Abdul Kader, Sumaiya Akhtar, Meherunnesa Nidra, Md. Mahin Sarker, Arif Sohel, and Ashik.
In the memorandum, students called for an emergency parliamentary session to address what they describe as "quota discrimination" through new legislation or executive orders.
The protesters also demanded the withdrawal of a case filed by a police officer, giving a 24-hour ultimatum and denouncing the case as “false and fabricated.”
