Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Saber Hossain Chowdhury has said Bangladesh and European Investment Bank will strengthen environmental and economic collaboration in the days to come.
"We are looking forward to a future of robust collaboration that not only will address climate change but also promote sustainable economic growth for the people of Bangladesh," he said.
The minister made the remarks at a bilateral meeting with Nicola Beer, Vice President of the European Investment Bank (EIB), on Wednesday in Luxembourg, reports BSS.
Nicola Beer commended the holistic approach presented during the meeting, highlighting its potential to simultaneously tackle climate change and spur economic development.
"It was a very inspiring meeting with Minister Saber Hossain Chowdhury. We welcome this comprehensive strategy to connect the fight against climate change with economic growth, ultimately benefiting Bangladeshi citizens," said Beer.
This meeting marked a pivotal step in the continued cooperation between Bangladesh and the European Investment Bank, aiming to deliver impactful results in the fight against climate change while fostering economic prosperity.
