Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) on Tuesday suspended five of its employees including two deputy directors after they were arrested in connection with a case filed over the leak of question papers of different government recruitment examinations held under it.
The suspended employees are deputy directors -- Abu Zafar and Jahangir Alam, assistant director Alamgir Kabir, dispatch rider Khalilur Rahman and office assistant Sajedul Islam.
BPSC has issued five separate orders in this regard, which are available on its website.
Earlier on Monday, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has arrested 17 people, including some senior officers and employees of BPSC, on charges of leaking question papers of about 30 recruitment tests, including Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS), in the last 12 years.
