Nahid Islam, one of the key organisers of the students' ongoing anti-quota movement, on Monday announced countrywide blockades on Wednesday following a day’s pause in the continuous street demonstrations.
On Tuesday, there would be no mass demonstration but the protesting university students would hold online and offline campaigns seeking public support for their cause, Nahid Islam said before ending Monday’s movement at 8:30pm, reports Daily Sun.
The university students have also given the government three days to fulfill their single demand: abolishing quota system in all government job circulars with the minimum post reservation only for disadvantaged groups, as stated in the Constitution.
