A mild heat wave is sweeping across the country for the last few days.
People, who don’t need emergency work, are not moving from their houses during this hot weather.
The heat wave has increased the suffering of the fasting people during holy Ramadan. As people do not show their interest in shopping amid hot weather, it impacted pahela baishak and Eid-centered business.
Meteorologists said this year's heat wave increased due to a lack of adequate rain.
The country’s highest temperature was recorded in Chuadanga for the last week. Today (Sunday) highest temperature thirty-eight point five degree Celsius was recorded in Chuadanga.
According to a Met office bulletin, a mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping over Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal divisions and Rajshahi, Pabna, Bogura, Moulvibazar, Chattogram, Rangamati, Chandpur, Noakhali, Feni, Cox’Bazar & Bandarban districts and it may continue.
Meanwhile, a mild heat wave is sweeping over Rajshahi for a few days. The temperature in the district is increasing daily which hampers normal life.
