Khaleda Zia’s adviser Muktadir released 3 hours after arrest

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s Adviser Khandaker Abdul Muktadir has been released three hours after his arrest on Saturday evening.

Abdul Muktadir was arrested at Osmani International Airport in Sylhet.

He was apprehended at around 3:30 pm at the MAG Osmani International Airport, confirmed Sylhet Metropolitan Police (SMP) Additional Deputy Commissioner Sudip Das.

Sudeep said there was an arrest warrant against Muktadir in a case filed in 2018 under the Special Powers Act.

Khandaker Abdul Muktadir vied for the Sylhet-1 constituency in the last national election as a candidate of the BNP-led alliance.
