The lowest temperature in Dhaka was recorded at 14.1 degrees Celsius on Wednesday while the lowest temperature in the country was recorded at 9 degrees Celsius in Jashore in the last 24 hours.
According to the met office, the temperature may remain under 13 degrees Celsius on Thursday in Dhaka and adjacent areas.
The cold wave is sweeping across the capital. The temperature in Dhaka decreased by 2 degree Celsius on Thursday.
Met office said a mild cold wave is sweeping in Rajshahi, Pabna, Dinajpur, Panchagarh, Nilphamari, Jashore, Chuadanga and Kushtia regions which may continue.
Meteorologists said due to the cold air of the northern region, the country’s people feel much cold compared to the temperature. This cold air may sweep few more days. However, the temperature may rise from today (Thursday), they added.
The weather may remain dry with partly cloudy skies over the country.
Besides, night temperature may remain nearly unchanged and day temperature may rise slightly over the country.
