Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Thursday predicted that mild cold wave sweeping over Rajshahi, Pabna, Dinajpur, Panchagarh, Nilphamari, Jashore, Chuadanga and Kushtia districts may continue until Friday morning, reports BSS.
“Mild cold wave is sweeping over the districts of Rajshahi, Pabna, Dinajpur, Panchagarh, Nilphamari, Jashore, Chuadanga and Kushtia and it may continue,” the met office said in its 24 hours weather forecast commencing on Thursday morning.
Due to differences of day and night temperature, moderate to severe cold feeling condition is likely to persist in north, north-western and central part of the country during the period, it also said.
According to the release, weather may remain dry with partly cloudy sky over the country while moderate to thick fog may occur over the country from midnight to Friday morning and it may continue till noon at different places.
Night temperature may remain nearly unchanged and day temperature may rise slightly over the country during the period.
The country's highest temperature on Wednesday was recorded 28.2 degrees Celsius at Teknaf in Chattogram division while today's minimum temperature was 9.0 degrees Celsius at Jashore in Khulna division.
