Bone-chilling cold coupled with thick fog has thrown normal life into disarray across the country, causing sufferings for people.
Thick fog is occurring in many parts of the northern region with a mild cold wave.
According to the weather department, the weather may remain dry with the partly cloudy sky over the country while moderate to severe cold conditions are likely to continue over the north, north-western and central parts of the country.
Nature is remembering the people as it is the month of Paush. The mild cold wave is sweeping in the northern part of the country and Sreemangal of Sylhet. Capital Dhaka remained exceptional in the winter.
However, Dhaka now shivers with cold. Dhaka’s temperature decreased by 5-6 degrees on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the met office said there is no impact of mild cold waves except in Panchagarh and Sreemangal.
Meteorologist Abdur Rahman Khan said there were no remarkable symptoms of cold wave till ten December. However, the temperature may fall in many parts of the country separately.
One or two moderate and severe cold waves may occur in the country in late January, he added.
The country's highest temperature on Tuesday was recorded at 28.6 degrees Celsius at Teknaf and the minimum temperature on Wednesday was recorded at 9 degrees Celsius at Sreemangal.
Today's (Wednesday) sunset at Dhaka is at 5:24 pm while tomorrow's (Thursday) sunrise is at 6:42 am.
