Man held with 2.5kg gold at Ctg airport

National Security Intelligence (NSI) has detained a passenger with 2.5kg of gold at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram.

The arrest came at around 10:20 am on Wednesday as the person was moving helter-skelter down the pavement.

Detainee Jasim Uddin of Rangunia reached Shah Amanat International Airport by flight G9-526 of Air Arabia from Sharjah of the United Arab Emirates. 

NSI recovered two gold bars and ornaments weighing 2.423kg and huge cosmetics from him.

The estimated value of the seized gold is Tk 16,739,931.
