Jatiya Party (JP) leaders paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her official Ganabhaban residence in the capital on Tuesday afternoon.
Opposition Leader Raushon Ershad, deputy opposition leader and JP Chairman GM Quader, and son of late President HM Ershad, Rahgir Al Mahi Ershad alias Saad Ershad were present at the meeting.
Prime Minister's press wing confirmed the matter through a media release.
Sheikh Hasina praised the JP for playing an important role as the opposition and discussed the role of the political parties to strengthen the democracy and parliamentary system.
During the meeting, the Premier inquired about the health of Raushon Ershad and exchanged greetings with the JP delegation.
