The newly active Beanibazar well located in Sylhet will include eight million cubic feet of gas to the national grid daily from Monday, reports BSS.
The testing activities of Beanibazar well have been done and all technical preparations of supplying gas to the national grid at final stage have been completed, said Sylhet Gas Fields Limited (SGFL) Managing Director Md Mizanur Rahman.
He expected that around eight million cubic feet (mmcf) of gas would be extracted from this well for the national grid daily from Monday.
As per the SGFL sources, the gas supply to the national grid will begin from well number 1 of Sylhet's Beanibazar gas field from tomorrow which was abandoned for five years.
Mizanur said that gas can be supplied to the national grid from 12:00 pm today (Sunday).
However, subject to the final approval of the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, the gas supply to the national grid will start from tomorrow morning, he added.
Currently, around seven million cubic feet gas is being supplied to the national grid from well number-2 of Sylhet's Beanibazar gas field, he said.
