Israeli forces killed at least 17 people after it struck a UN-operated school sheltering displaced Palestinians in Nuseirat refugee camp, according to Gaza’s civil defence agency, reports Al Jazeera.
More than 80 people were wounded in Sunday’s attack on the Abu Oraiban School. It is the fifth attack on a school-turned-shelter in the last eight days.
The Abu Oraiban was housing “thousands of displaced people”, civil defence spokesman Mahmoud Basal said, adding most of the dead were women and children.
