The British oil tanker that was hit on Friday in the Gulf of Aden by a missile fired by the Houthis in Yemen is still on fire, according to the company that owns it, reports Al Jazeera.
“The crew is continuing efforts to control the fire in one of the ship’s cargo tanks with support from military vessels. The safety of the crew remains our utmost priority,” said the Singapore-headquartered Trafigura in an update on Saturday.
“No injuries or casualties have been reported in respect of the incident on board the Marlin Luanda.”
It had said on Friday that the vessel was battling a fire caused in one of its cargo tanks on the starboard side.
