The government will launch the ‘Online Pension Tracking and Management System’ (OPTMS) to simplify pension processing and reduce suffering of retirees.
State Minister for Public Administration and Food Md. Abdul Bari said at a workshop at the Ministry of Public Administration at the Secretariat on Tuesday that pensioners often faced delays, complications, and repeated office visits.
“Once OPTMS is fully launched, they will be able to submit applications online and monitor their progress,” he said, adding that it will ensure faster pension delivery.
He also said online services would help reduce corruption by limiting physical visits to offices.
Finance Department Secretary Dr. Md Khairuzzaman Mozumder and Comptroller General of Accounts SM Rezvi attended as special guests. The session was chaired by Senior Secretary Md. Ehsanul Hoque .
