Navana Group Vice Chairman Sajedul Islam arrested

Navana Group Vice Chairman Sajedul Islam Shuvro has been arrested from Banani on Tuesday night  in a case filed under the Labour Act.

Confirming the matter to the media on Wednesday morning, Tejgaon Industrial Area Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mahbubur Rahman said there was an arrest warrant against him in a case filed at the Tejgaon Industrial Area Police Station.

Earlier, police from Tejgaon Industrial Area and Banani Police Stations conducted an operation at around 11:00 pm on Tuesday at House No. 54 on Road No. 15 in Block D of Banani.

Police alleged that security personnel at the building did not cooperate with them during the operation. After an overnight operation and standoff, Sajedul Islam was arrested early Wednesday morning from the residence.
