Prime Minister Tarique Rahman departed for Beijing from Dalian on Wednesday aboard a high-speed bullet train at 2:00 pm local time.
He is accompanied by his wife Dr Zubaida Rahman.
Earlier in the day, at 10:00 am local time, the Prime Minister attended the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Summer Davos in Dalian.
The event was held at the Dalian International Conference Center.
The 17th Annual Meeting of the New Champions brought together several world leaders, including Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, Prime Minister Amadou Oury Bah of Guinea, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov of Kazakhstan, Prime Minister Kim Min-seok of South Korea, Prime Minister Nyam-Osor Uchral of Mongolia, and Prime Minister Milojko Spajić of Montenegro.
More than 1,700 participants from over 90 countries and regions attended the forum, including political leaders, business executives, academics, and media representatives.
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s participation in the Summer Davos forum is expected to help Bangladesh attract new investment and create employment opportunities, while also enabling the country to benefit from international best practices and experiences to further strengthen its national capabilities.
