A Dhaka court on Wednesday granted bail to Navana Group Vice Chairman Sajedul Islam and three others who were arrested in a case filed under the Labour Act.
The order came after a hearing held earlier in the day.
Sajedul Islam was arrested by Tejgaon Industrial Zone Police early Wednesday and later produced before the court.
The Dhaka First Labour Court had issued an arrest warrant against him over allegations of failing to pay Tk 23 lakh in dues to a former official of Aftab Automobiles.
According to court documents, the case concerns the alleged non-payment of dues owed to a former employee. The accused include Aftab Automobiles Chairman Safiul Islam, six senior company officials, and the company itself.
