Bangladesh has received 37 thousand tonnes of rice, with 22 thousand tonnes imported from Myanmar and 15 thousand tonnes from India, reports Samakal.
A press release from the food ministry confirmed the matter on Wednesday.
According to the release, two ships carrying imported rice have reached the Chattogram port.
Steps have been taken to ensure the prompt release of the rice, it added.
