Female students of Dhaka University's Begum Rokeya Hall brought out a torch march demanding death penalty for rape of women and children in Bangladesh.
The students took out a procession from Rokeya Hall around 7 pm on Saturday. Later, the procession passed through the VC premises and ended in front of Rokeya Hall again.
The students said that incidents of rape, sexual harassment and harassment of women have been happening in Bangladesh for the past few days which are great matter oconcerns for every girl in this country. Therefore, those who disrespect women and rape them have no right to live. The death penalty must be implemented as a punishment for rape.
Then, they chanted fiery slogans against the rapists and harasser of women.
