BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has sent iftar items to the family members of July Revolution hero Shaheed Abu Sayeed on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
On behalf of Tarique Rahman, Rangpur district unit BNP Convener Md. Saiful Islam paid a courtesy call on Sayeed's family members in Babanpur village of Pirganj Upazila of the district and handed over the Iftar items on Friday afternoon, reports BSS.
He also conveyed Tarique Rahman's greetings to them.
Shaheed Abu Sayeed's father Md. Mokbul Hossain received the Iftar items and expressed gratitude to Tarique Rahman on behalf of his family.
Rangpur district BNP Convening Committee Member and Pirganj Upazila BNP Convener Mahmudun Nabi Chowdhury Palash, its Member-Secretary Professor Zakir Hossain, Joint Convener Shahinuzzaman Shahin, Pirganj municipality BNP President Saiful Azad Mandal, its Member-Secretary Yatimul Haque Liton, Madankhali Union BNP President Rafikul Islam Saju, its General Secretary Shahjahan Ali Sarkar, local leaders and activists of BNP and its associate bodies were present at that time.
