The country may experience at least eight days of thunderstorms and hailstorms, along with three days of Kalboishakhi storms and possibly even a cyclone during March to May.
Four to seven heatwaves may sweep across the country during this period, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department's long-term weather forecast for the next three months.
Overall rainfall in the country is expected to be normal from March to May. Additionally, two to three low-pressure systems may form over the Bay of Bengal, one of which could develop into a depression or a cyclone.
However, during these three months, day and night temperatures are likely to be higher than usual, as reported by the met office.
Moreover, during this period, the country may experience four to seven mild (36-37.9 degrees Celsius) or moderate (38-39.1 degrees Celsius) heatwaves and two to four moderate (38-39.9 degrees Celsius) to severe (40-41.1 degrees Celsius) heatwaves, according to the department.
