Ship carrying rice from India arrives at Ctg Port

The ship 'MV PHU THANH 36' carrying 6,000 metric tons of parboiled rice imported from India has arrived at Chattogram Port.

The information was shared in a notification by the Food Ministry on Saturday.

The notification said that the ship carrying 6,000 metric tons of parboiled rice imported from India under the contract (Package-2) completed through international tender has arrived at Chattogram Port.

After sample testing, necessary measures have been taken to quickly unload the rice stored on the ship.

Earlier, a ship named 'MV CB' carrying 26,250 metric tons of parboiled rice arrived in Chattogram from Port Qasim in Pakistan on Wednesday.
