Child rape accused won’t be spared: Social Welfare Advisor

Social Welfare Advisor Sharmin S Murshid said that maximum action has been taken in the rape of an eight-year-old child in Magura.

She told this to the reporters after seeing the abused child at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Saturday afternoon.

The Social Welfare Advisor said the accused in the child rape case won’t be spared.

The child, who was raped while visiting her elder sister's house in Magura, is undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital. The accused elder sister's husband Sajib and father-in-law Hitu have been arrested by Magura Sadar Police over this incident.

Sajib was arrested on Friday morning and Sajib's father Hitu Mia on Thursday by joint forces. The incident took place at the house of accused Hitu Mia in Nijnanduali village of Magura Municipality. The child, who was raped in a critical condition last Thursday, was sent to Faridpur Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment. When her condition deteriorated further, she was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. The girl is currently strugling for her life at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
