Expo Paint & Coatings is underway at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital.
Bangladesh Paint Manufacturers Association (BPMA) President and Director and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Berger Paints Bangladesh, Md Mohsin Habib Chowdhury inaugurated the exhibition on Tuesday.
The three-day expo will end on January 23.
E3-Solution is organizing the exhibition where the machinery for producing different types of paint is being displayed.
In his inaugural speech, Mohsin Habib Chowdhury said, “Our paint and coatings industry is now under challenge. Last year growth in the painting industry was negative. We hope to overcome this situation soon. We want the growth of this sector.”
According to the organizers, this is the only expo of coatings in the country. This expo was first organized in 2023 to develop the painting industry. A total of 31 companies from Bangladesh, India, China, Thailand and Taiwan took part in the fair.
Raw materials, chemicals and machinery for the production of paints are presented in this exhibition. The expo has been organized targeting to connect those associated with the painting industry of Bangladesh.
Bangladesh Paints, Dyes and Chemical Merchants Association Chairman Kamal Ahmed, entrepreneurs of the painting and coatings industry, and representatives of various companies were present at the inaugural ceremony.
