The government on Tuesday banned the import of electronic cigarettes or electronic nicotine delivery devices, said a notification.
E-cigarettes have been added to the list of banned import items under the Import Policy Order 2021-2024, the notification read.
Last year, the Prof Yunus-led interim government restricted the import of all e-cigarette-related products to protect public health and future generations from their harmful effects.
