Bangladesh Bank has sent the MDs of six banks to forced leave on Sunday.
According to the central bank's order, the banks are First Security Islami Bank, Social Islami Bank, Union Bank, Global Islami Bank, Exim Bank and ICB Islamic Bank.
Four of these banks are under the control of the notorious S Alam Group: First Security Islami Bank, Social Islami Bank, Union Bank, and Global Islami Bank.
A senior official of Bangladesh Bank informed the media that, to facilitate international audits, the MDs of six banks have been sent on leave.
