In observance of the bank holiday, the country's two main stock exchanges, DSE and CSE, will remain on Tuesday (Dec 31).
Stock market transactions are settled through banks, and when the banks are closed, no trading takes place on the country's two stock exchanges, DSE and CSE.
Although there will be no trading today, the administrative operations of the stock exchanges will proceed as usual.
As per the central bank's holiday schedule, July 1 and Dec 31 are observed as 'Bank Holidays' each year to finalize financial reports and complete the annual accounting process.
During these days, no transactions take place between banks or between banks and customers.
However, customers can withdraw a limited amount of money using their cards if needed.
