Gold prices have dropped once again in the country's market, with a reduction of Tk 1,050 per bar for high-quality 22-carat gold. Starting Monday, 22-carat gold will be priced at Tk 138,288 per bar, as announced by the Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) in a press release on Sunday.
BAJUS attributes the price drop to a decline in the price of Tezabi (pure) gold in the local market, leading to the adjustment of gold prices nationwide. The new rates will take effect across the country starting Monday.
Under the revised pricing structure, the price of 21-carat gold has been lowered to Tk 132,001 per bar, while 18-carat gold is now priced at Tk 113,141 per bar. Traditional gold has also seen a price reduction, now set at Tk 92,869 per load.
In contrast, silver prices remain stable. The price of 22-carat silver is currently Tk 2,578 per bar, while 21-carat silver is priced at Tk 2,449 and 18-carat silver at Tk 2,111. Traditional silver continues to be priced at Tk 1,586 per bar.
