During the event, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Nigella World and Happy Haat Ltd.
The agreement was formalised by Fatih EKE and Managing Director of Happy Haat, Lt Col (Retd) Ahmed Rehanul Bari Chowdhury.

The company, known for its natural health products derived from black seed (Nigella), has gained a global reputation for its reliable and high-quality offerings, ranging from herbal supplements and oils to skincare and food items.
“Bangladesh is a promising country for trade and business, with its young and dynamic population,” Fatih EKE stated.
“We are making our first investment of $10 million, and we plan to invest more in the future. We seek policy support from the government and a secure business environment to grow our ventures here.”
He also mentioned that Nigella World is prepared to offer technology support for Bangladesh’s agriculture sector and has plans to establish universities to train individuals in this field.
Lt Col (Retd) Ahmed Rehanul highlighted that the collaboration between Nigella World and Happy Haat Ltd will focus on market promotion, sales, and international expansion.
“This is a milestone for us. We are committed to providing high-quality organic and safe products, including spices and supplements. With a network of 1,200 contracted farmers in Bangladesh, we are confident this partnership will boost the agriculture sector,” he said.
Ashraful Haq emphasised the importance of strengthening economic, social, and business ties between the two Muslim-majority nations, both active members of the D-8 Countries.
He noted that Turkey is already a major trading partner of Bangladesh, with current trade standing at $1 billion, and a goal to increase this to $3 billion in the near future.
