State-owned Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) will begin selling potatoes at Tk 40 per kg under its open market sales programme to tame the soaring price of this daily essential tomorrow (November 20).
One can purchase a maximum of 3 kg of potatoes at a time from TCB trucks during the campaign.
Newly-appointed Commerce Adviser Sheikh Bashir Uddin will inaugurate the open sale campaign of potatoes at TCB Bhaban in the capital’s Karwan Bazar at 9:30 am.
The TCB has issued a notification in this regard on Tuesday (November 19).
According to the notification, TCB has been selling subsidized daily essentials including lentils and edible oil through 70 trucks in Dhaka and Chattogram city.
