The National Directorate of Consumer Rights Protection launched a raid at Dhaka's Kawran Bazar on the first day of Ramadan to monitor and control product prices. The operation began at 11:30 am on Sunday in the market's kitchen section, led by Mohammad Alim Akhtar Khan, director general of the directorate.

Officials from the Directorate, leaders from the Bangladesh Shop Owners Association, representatives from the Consumers Association of Bangladesh (CAB), and members of various organizations took part in the raid.
