Speaking at the press conference, Ahsan Khan Chowdhury, chairman of the Fair Committee and chairman & CEO of PRAN-RFL Group, highlighted the success of Bangladesh’s agro-processing sector.
“Our country’s agriculture, food, dairy, beverage, and processed sectors are performing exceptionally well. This sector is not only ensuring food security within Bangladesh but is also contributing significantly to the national economy by earning foreign exchange through exports,” he stated.
He further emphasised that the agriculture, food, dairy, and beverage processing sectors play a crucial role in showcasing Bangladesh’s capabilities on a global scale.
BAPA President Md Abul Hashem reiterated the association’s commitment to the sector’s development, stating, “Since its inception, BAPA has been working tirelessly to advance the food processing sector. Our main goal is to ensure continuous growth and align the industry with international standards.”
He also stressed the importance of adopting emerging technologies.
“In this era of globalisation, no sector can progress without integrating modern technology. BAPA is committed to ensuring that Bangladesh does not lag behind in this field.”
BAPA aims to accelerate economic development by fostering growth and coordination within the food processing sector and all associated institutions, he added.
