Gas supply will be suspended or experience low pressure in several areas of Dhaka on Tuesday due to pipeline relocation work, the Titas Gas Authority has announced.
In a statement, Titas Gas apologised for the inconvenience and said the disruption is necessary to transfer an existing pipeline from the alignment of the MRT Line-1 underground station at Nadda, under the Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited.
The work will take place from 10 am to 11 pm on 25 February, affecting Road Nos. 11, 12, 13, and 14 in the Baridhara Diplomatic Zone, as well as Baridhara DOHS, Jagannathpur, Nadda, Kalachandpur, Lichubagan, Joarsahara, and Kuratoli. The disruption will also extend to the Bashundhara residential area (up to 300 feet) and from the northeast side of the US Embassy to Kuril Bishwa Road.
Titas Gas has also warned that surrounding areas may experience low gas pressure during this period.
