At least 41 lakh people left Dhaka in the two days leading up to Eid-ul-Fitr, celebrated on March 31, according to the Posts and Telecommunications Division.
The data, based on an analysis of mobile SIM mobility, shows that 1,899,537 SIM users departed Dhaka on March 28, while 2,195,084 left on March 29.
In total, 4,094,621 people exited the capital during these two days, reflecting a significant movement of travelers ahead of the holiday.
