Only one day after its release, the movie ‘Jungli’, directed by M. Rahim, has had its screenings increased at multiplexes.
The information was confirmed by the movie’s production company, Tiger Media, headed by Zahid Hasan Abhi.
He mentioned that although ‘Jungli’ had gained significant hype among the Eid releases, the number of shows in multiplexes on the first day was limited. He didn’t know the reason for this.
Despite a large billboard being displayed at Star Cineplex’s Simanta Shomvhar branch, no shows were initially scheduled there. However, today two shows were added at that branch, one at 11 AM and the other at 4 PM. Additionally, one more show was added at Jamuna Blockbuster. This increase in shows and halls, just one day after the release, has brought joy to the ‘Jungli’ team.
The producer further shared that although there were fewer shows on the first day, by the second day, one hall and three shows had been added. Currently, there are a total of 18 screenings across the multiplexes nationwide.
Among these, Star Cineplex (Panthpath) has 3 shows, Star Cineplex (Museum) 2 shows, Star Cineplex (Simanta Shomvhar) 2 shows, Star Cineplex (Uttara) 2 shows, Star Cineplex (Chittagong) 3 shows, Blockbuster Cinemas 3 shows, and Lion Cinemas 3 shows.
Mesbah Uddin Ahmed, senior manager of Media and Marketing at Star Cineplex, said, "Star Cineplex always gives the highest priority to Bengali films. However, the decision to increase or decrease shows entirely depends on audience demand. We highly value the preferences of our viewers."
Mahbubur Rahman, Assistant Manager of the Marketing Department at Jamuna Blockbuster, also confirmed the increase in shows.
The lead roles in ‘Jungli’ are played by Siam Ahmed and Bubly. The child artist role is portrayed by Naireeta. From the very first day of release, the movie’s story and the performances of the actors have been highly praised by the audience.
The music for all the songs in the movie was directed by Prince Mahmud. Additionally, various characters in the film were played by Dilara Zaman, Shahiduzzaman Selim, Rashed Mamun Apu, Sohel Khan, Arfan Mredha Shiblu, and others.
