BNP Vice Chairman Shamsuzzaman Dudu said, “BNP has been talking about elections for 17 years; this is nothing new. But today those in power are asking why so soon. I want to ask what your job is."

“It has been 6 months since they could not reduce the prices of daily necessities. The market syndicate is remain the same what it was during the Awami League period. No people have been employed,” he said.

He said this while speaking as the chief guest at a rally organized by Thakurgaon District BNP at the Public Library Ground at 3 pm on Sunday.

As part of the central BNP program, this rally is to demand that the prices of daily necessities be kept tolerable, the law and order situation be improved, and a quick election roadmap be announced, and to confront the conspiracies of fallen fascists.

Commenting on the Sheikh family, this BNP leader said, "I don't like talking about Sheikh Hasina anymore. Her father is a thief, her brother is a thief, her sister is a thief, her sons and daughters are all thieves. You won't find a single person who is good in the Sheikh family."

Shamsuzzaman Dudu also said, "Don't argue with BNP. BNP is a party that takes challenges. BNP will give whatever blood it takes for democracy. BNP will not back down without establishing democracy. How can you stop a party whose leaders are Begum Khaleda Zia, Tarique Rahman and Mirza Fakhrul Islam. We all have to be united. The elections will be held this year, and the BNP's paddy sheaf symbol will come out as winner.”
