Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus will leave the country for Thailand on Thursday to attend the 6th BIMSTEC Summit scheduled to be held on April 4 in Bangkok.
Foreign Adviser Touhid Hossain and Foreign Secretary Jashim Uddin will accompany the Chief Adviser during the visit.
Earlier on March 25, Foreign Secretary Jashim Uddin said that Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus will fly to Bangkok on April 3 to join the 6th BIMSTEC Summit.
Seven member countries of Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) are India, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Thailand, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
Professor Muhammad Yunus is scheduled to deliver his speech as the keynote speaker at a forum titled ‘BIMSTEC Young Generation Forum: Where the Future Meets’ before the BIMSTEC summit.
The Chief Adviser will return to Bangladesh on April 4 after concluding the Summit.
