Titumir College students block Gulshan-Mohakhali road

Students of the Government Titumir College have blocked the Gulshan-Mohakhali road, demanding its recognition as an independent university.

The blockade has brought traffic movement on the busy thoroughfare to a complete halt.

At 12:30pm Monday, students gathered in front of Titumir College and used bamboo barricades to obstruct the road. As part of the ongoing protest, six students have been on hunger strike for the past six days at the main entrance of the college.

Due to the road blockade, all traffic on the Mohakhali-Gulshan road has come to a standstill. However, emergency vehicles, including ambulances, are being allowed to pass. Notably, no law enforcement personnel have been seen at the protest site so far.
